Get your tickets now to the funniest show on Broadway called “Is He Dead” at Applause Theatre and Entertainment Services
I have to tell you that I haven’t laughed so hard at the theatre in a very, very long time. I saw the show, “Is He Dead” on an evening with other co-workers of mine and my cousin who is a NY City Fireman (not a theatre goer at all!!) and we were all very tired and definitely not in the mood for a show. Well after a very serious and slow build up, this show snowballed into a furious comedic snowstorm. We were all laughing uncontrollably and actually tearing from laughing so hard. This is no exaggeration!! What an incredible ensemble cast headed by Norbert Leo Butz, Tony award winner of “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” and co-star of “Wicked” (original Fiyero). We were still in hysterics after we left the theatre. Even my cousin the fireman loved it! Run to see this show now, especially with great seats available at our very low “Insider prices”.In this newly discovered Mark Twain comedy, the original master of American humor dishes out a sly critique of the art world with acerbic wit and social commentary well ahead of his time. Is He Dead? is a fast-paced play about a struggling artist who stages his own death to drive up the price of his paintings. As the riotous scheme unfolds, Twain poses daring questions about fame, greed and the value of art, and pokes his signature, mischievous fun at everyone involved.
Adapted by David Ives (All in the Timing), directed by two-time Tony Award® winner Michael Blakemore (Noises Off) and starring Tony Award® winner Norbert Leo Butz (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), Mark Twain's Is He Dead? is a landmark Broadway premiere and a chance to experience the never-before-seen work of a great humorist at the top of his form.
You can contact Applause Theatre Service now and ask for tickets at the "insider's pricing" which they often have access to. Applause can be reached in New York City at 212-307-7050 or 1-800-451-9930 seven days a week.
I’m going to see the incredible Nathan Lane in “November”, tonight and will post my review tomorrow. Can’t wait!
