Equus Set To Begin Previews Tonight On Broadway


The highly anticipated revival of Equus starring Daniel Radcliffe(Harry Potter) and Tony Award Winner Richard Griffiths(The History Boys) begins performances tonight on Broadway at the Broadhurst Theatre. The official opening is set for September 25 and is scheduled to run thru February 9.Radcliffe is cast as the disturbed adolescent Strang, an English stable boy who blinded six horses with a spike. Griffiths takes on the role of psychiatrist Dysart, who attempts to discover the source of Strang's psychosis.

Both Radcliffe and Griffiths played to sold out performances during the London run last year. The show as well as the stars drew positive reviews plus quite a bit of attention due to the nude scene in which Mr. Radcliffe bared all to the delight of hundreds of young female Harry Potter fans.
