In The Heights
I know. I know. It's been almost two weeks since my last In The Heights blog. I'm sure you're all going thru withdrawl right? Now don't worry. My love for the show is just as strong as it's ever been. It's just with all the new shows as of late my blogs have been mostly about them. So what is new with my favorite show? Well I am happy to say that sales have increased since my last post and with the holiday's coming up I expect it to increase even more. Keep your fingers crossed. Better sales means our show will be around for the foreseeable future.
Anyway this past Sunday marked the final performance of one of my favorite cast member's
Janet Dacal. Ms. Dacal who has been with the show since it's Off-Broadway premier is leaving the show to take on the title role in Frank Wildhorn's retelling of Alice in Wonderland. The show titled Wonderland is scheduled to begin previews in December at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. Those of you who have seen the show can attest to how talented she is and I am so happy that she has been given the opportunity to show what she will bring to this iconic role. Best of luck Janet. You are a star on the rise. No word on her replacement but I am sure like her predecessor will make the part her own.
