Wicked On Broadway

Still haven't seen Wicked yet? Well what are you waiting for people? It's only one of the most popular shows of all time. Now in it's sixth record breaking year on Broadway Wicked is sure to be around for years to come. Having seen the show early in it's run I never could have imagined how popular the show is gotten. In fact after the reviews came out I figured it would run a few years and that would be it. Plus not winning that year's Tony Award for Best Musical didn't exactly change my opinion much either.

Yet here we are in 2010 and it is just as popular if not more. Not a week goes by where it is not Broadway's most profitable show with it's weekly grosses reaching over $1.3 million. Not too bad for a show with not so hot reviews wouldn't you say? Look regardless of what the critics say they are not the ones buying the tickets. You are. The theatre going public. Until that stops Wicked will still be on top. That you can take to the bank.

Now Is The Best Time To See Wicked On Broadway

Don’t tell me you still haven’t seen Wicked yet? It’s only been playing on Broadway and around the world for over six years. Well there’s no better time than the present. The show which believe it or not did not get very good reviews when it first opened in October 2003 is still the number one selling show on the Great White Way with no end in sight. In fact I wouldn’t be surprised if one day it surpassed The Phantom of the Opera to become Broadway’s longest running show in history. Now granted they still have a long way to go but if any show has a chance than Wicked would be the one. Get your tickets to see Wicked The Musical on Broadway, London, or any city Nationwide. It is a winner.

Wicked Is Still Going Strong

It's 2010 and Broadway's reigning champ is still Wicked. Who would have thought a show about two witches would become the biggest hit in Broadway history. I sure didn't. Neither did the critics when it first opened back in 2003. Yet here we are six years later and Wicked continues to break box office records around the world week in and week out. In fact just last week the Broadway production broke it's own record from the year before by grossing over two million dollars. Who says that Broadway is in a slump? Most shows after a few years tend to slow down but not Wicked. In all the years in this business I have never seen a show that is as popular as Wicked. I will even go as far to say that Wicked will eventually surpass The Phantom of The Opera as Broadway's longest running show. Sure they may have a way to go but if any show has a chance to do it Wicked does. By the way right now is the best time to get tickets to see Broadway's top show. What are waiting for? Call now and get your tickets to see Wicked On Broadway. It is a must see.

Wicked Still Breaking Box Office Records

Now in it's sixth celebrated year on Broadway is Wicked. In all my years in this business I have never seen a show that continues to sell out every performance like Wicked does. When you consider that fact that it also plays in the biggest theater on Broadway then it is even more amazing. I'll admit that while I did enjoy the show I never expected it would be the big hit that it is today. Don't forget that the show also didn't get very good reviews when it opened either. I guess the critics don't know everything.

Now while Wicked may be Broadway's selling show that doesn't mean you can't get tickets. In fact at Applause we can get you tickets for any performance of your choice. Want tickets for a Saturday night? No problem. How about thirty tickets for your school trip next Summer. Just give us a call and leave the rest up to us. It's that easy. By the way we also sell tickets for Wicked in London and Nationwide. Why not give us a try? You'll be glad you did.

We just wanted to share a very nice testimonial from one of our wonderful customers. Her email refers to our suggestion of seating for Wicked. At first she was sceptical of the seats we offered but upon our suggestion, everyone in her party loved Wicked and the seats as well.

Happy Broadway ticket customers are Applause's business. Won't you let us help you as well?

It's Wicked Fun!

I don't know about you but growing up I loved the Wizard of Oz. I wanted to be Dorothy so bad I convinced my parents to get me a little pair of red shiny shoes so I could pretend. Fast foward about 40 years and I still love The Wizard of Oz. A Few months ago I had the opportunity to take my family to see Wicked the prequel of the Wizard of Oz. It tells the story of two girls that meet in the land of Oz. One is born with emerald green skin and is smart and spunky and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. It takes you on their journey and shows you how then end up the best of frineds yet one becomes the Wicked Witch of the West and the other Glinda the Good Witch. It will have you hanging off the edge of your seat. For the best seats at the best prices call Applause!!!

Wicked To Celebrate Six Years On The Great White Way

On October 30th Wicked will mark it's sixth year on Broadway. The show which continues to sell out nightly is still Broadway's most popular show not to mention the highest grossing show week after week. Most people forget that the show didn't get very good reviews when it opened. Yet here we are all these years later and Wicked shows no end in sight. Even though I enjoyed it when I saw it I never expected it would become the worldwide sensation that it is today. Never underestimate the theatre going public. They are the ones who control the success or failure of a show. Not the critics. Until next time theatre fans.

Only One More Week To Catch Avenue Q

That's right theatre fans. There are only 11 more performances of Avenue Q. The 2004 Tony Award winner for Best Musical. The show which beat Wicked for the coveted award is by far the funniest show on Broadway today and will be missed not only by me but millions of loyal Avenue Q fans from around the world. Don't worry though. Avenue Q is still playing in London and around the country so there is still a chance to see it. Broadway isn't the only place to see great theatre you know. When Avenue Q closes it will have played 22 previews and 2,534 performances. Not bad for a show about puppets. Although the show is closing there is good news ahead on the horizon. Between now and the end of the year sixteen new shows are set to open. Now that is something to smile about. Broadway is back baby!!!!!!!!

Wicked-Broadway's Most "Popular" Show

Here we are six years later and Wicked is still going strong. The show has been breaking box office records since it opened in November 2003. I first saw the show the week before opening. While I enjoyed it I never thought it would become the mega hit that it has become on Broadway and around the world. The show which lost the Tony Award for Best Musical to Avenue Q is not only our biggest seller but continues to sell out eight times a week at the Gershwin Theatre. Now that doesn't mean you can't get tickets. We have access to tickets for every performance. From Rear Mezzanine to Premium Orchestra, Applause is your best source for Broadway's #1 show. Why not give us a try? You'll be glad you did.

"Wicked" the Movie? Could Be, But First You Must See the Show!

Those crazy bloggers out there are starting up some wild rumors again. They're reporting that Joel Grey the original Wizard of Oz in "Wicked" on Broadway, whose out doing publicity for his new book, said in an interview that he's been approached about doing the movie version. Well if it's true than that's exciting news indeed!

I would love to see all the original cast members come back and do it but I'm certain that won't happen in today's world. They'll try to get some big name stars to drawer bigger business. Some have even said that Liza Minelli would play Madame Morrible which would reunite her with Joel Grey(they both won Oscars for the movie of Cabaret!). Again, will never happen I'm sure. My bet is on Meryl Streep to play Madame Morrible, Perfect!

Anyway this is one of my all time favorite musicals and I've seen it multiple times. You don't know what you're missing if you haven't yet seen this brilliant totally entertaining musical extravaganza! Go! Now's the best time!

And if you call now, some great deals are available with Applause Theatre Service! Tickets for this show and all Broadway shows(including London productions) can be purchased by calling a sales expert live at 800-451-9930. Ask for the Below Face Value Deals for most Broadway shows this Summer!!

Dee Roscioli Soars To Broadway as the "Wicked" Witch of the West!

Well it looks like I have to make a return visit to see one of my all time favorite shows! Dee Roscioli assumes the role of Elphaba in the hit musical WICKED this week and I always like to see the different cast changes. I'm hearing great things about this gal!

Ms. Roscioli is making her Broadway debut after playing the role of Elphaba for the final two years of the record-breaking Chicago production of WICKED. Dee joins a cast which includes Alli Mauzey as Glinda, Tony Award-winner Rondi Reed(August Osage) as Madame Morrible, P.J. Benjamin as The Wizard, Kevin Kern as Fiyero, Alex Brightman as Boq, Cristy Candler as Nessarose, and Timothy Britten Parker as Dr. Dillamond.

In addition to her three years with the Chicago company of WICKED, Dee Roscioli has appeared as Grizabella in the national tour of Cats and in the NYSF Workshops of Dangerous Beauty and Behind the Limelight. She has sung for the governors of Arkansas and Kentucky and had the privilege of singing the national anthem for the Chicago Bears and White Sox.

Winner of 20 major awards including the Grammy Award and three Tony Awards, WICKED is the untold story of the witches of Oz. Long before Dorothy drops in, two other girls meet in the land of Oz. One, born with emerald-green skin, is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. WICKED tells the story of their remarkable odyssey, how these two unlikely friends grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch.

Declared "A Cultural Phenomenon" by Variety, WICKED currently has productions in New York, San Francisco, London, Tokyo, Stuttgart, Melbourne and on two North American tours. Based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, WICKED has music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, and a book by Winnie Holzman. The production is directed by Joe Mantello(9 to 5 the Musical) with musical staging by Wayne Cilento.

People return to see this show over and over again! Run to see it if you haven't already. And if you call now, some great deals are available with Applause Theatre Service(Best Seats/Best Prices)! Revisiting "Wicked" on Broadway

Wicked is certainly one of my all time favorite musicals. A rarity for me, it's the type of show that keeps you coming back to see it again and again. That's why the show has remained the top selling show on Broadway the last five years. The Wicked fanatics keep coming back, and I guess I'd have to be part of that group having seen it 6-7 times now. I've lost count. I love going back to see the different cast changes and just to see how well it's holding up. Each time I've seen it, I'm never let down. The show stays fresh and sharp with such high energy and the casting of these difficult roles has been amazing. Everyone I've seen has put there own spin on their roles and it always works. It's mainly because of the story and show itself. It's the prequel to The Wizard of Oz and has Glinda the Good Witch befriending Elphaba the eventual Wicked Witch all happening before Dorothy comes along. It's so much fun to watch and you'll leave the theatre singing the songs and wanting to buy the CD that's for sure. If you haven't seen it, you must go. It's one of the greatest shows of all time! And I mean that whole-heartedly!

Great deals are available now with Applause Theatre Service! Tickets for this show and all Broadway shows(including Wicked in London and other productions) can be purchased by calling a sales expert live at 800-451-9930. Ask for the Below Face Value Deals for most Broadway shows this Summer!!

Broadway's Wicked Is Sill Broadway's Biggest Hit

Here we are six years into the Broadway run of Wicked and it is still the most popular show around. I first saw the show during previews and although I thought it was great never did I think it would become the world wide phenomenon that it is today. Believe it or not the show didn't get very good reviews when it first opened. That shows you what critics know. Never underestimate the audience. There the ones buying the tickets after all. After all these years Wicked is not only one of our most requested shows but our biggest seller. I don't expect that to change. So whether you're a fan of the show or not it really doesn't matter. Wicked is here to stay my friends. That you can count on. You know what else you can count on? Applause having tickets to see Wicked whenever you want to go. Why not give us a call? Broadway's Most "Popular" Musical Is Wicked

Now in it's fifth sold out year on Broadway is Wicked. The show which believe it or not opened to mixed reviews in October 2003 has secured it's place on the Great White Way as one of Broadway's most successful musicals of all time. Having seen the show in previews I knew it would be a big seller but I never expected it to be the mega hit that it has become since then. Since I began working for Applause five years ago I can honestly say that not only is Wicked our most requested show but is the one show that everyone in my office agrees is one of the best they have ever seen. Trust me when I say that does not happen too often with this group. Now having said all of that you might be thinking that getting tickets to see Wicked might be difficult. Not at all. We here at Applause can get you tickets to see this Tony Award winning musical for you right now. All you have to do is call and we will do the rest. It's that easy. Also note that we can also get tickets to see Wicked in London or any city Nationwide. So why not give us a try? You'll be glad you did.

Wicked on Broadway-Still an All-Time Favorite of Mine

I've seen dozens of Broadway shows in the last few years and enjoyed most of them. But for my money, there's nothing like "live musical theater" in my mind. Although my company Applause Theater Service sells all the Broadway Shows in New York City, day in and day out-Wicked sells much more frequently than most others. I've seen it three times now and it is very special indeed.

If you haven't had a chance to see Wicked in New York, this amazing story tells us about the Wicked Witch of the West called Elphaba (played by Nicole Parker) and her nemesis, Glinda, The Good Witch (played by Alli Mauzey). In short, Wicked is really the untold musical story of The Wizard of Oz, before Dorothy dropped in so to speak. A "pre-quel" to The Wizard of Oz. The show is based on the best-selling novel by Gregory McGuire with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman. Joe Mantello directs this fantastic show.

In 2004 Wicked was nominated for 10 Tony Awards. The show has a great cast of characters with spectacular scenic design and musical staging by Eugene Lee and Wayne Cilento, lighting by Kenneth Posner and costumes by Susan Hilferty. Wicked's musical score ranges from contemporary to theatrical with many of them becoming quite memorable for a long time to come. The show is 2 and 1/2 hours long with one intermission and there's a cool souvenir stand in the lobby across from the box office.

As I mentioned previously, Wicked is a big ticket seller on Broadway. It has all the talent both on stage and off stage with a unique story and great musical theater fun. A truly unique piece of theater. I think it will play New York's Gershwin Theater for many more year to come.

Right now if you think you may want to see Wicked on Broadway, you can simply contact the friendly ticket experts at Applause in New York. They are licensed by the State of New York Department of Licensing and have been in business for 21 years now. They know the show, the seating chart, the best seats for the best price and even where to grab a bite before the theater. Could you ask for anything more...

Applause is open seven days a week, 365 days a year. Their New York City phone number is 212-307-7050 or you are welcome to call toll free at 800-451-9930. They love talking about Wicked and also are happy to speak with you about all of the Broadway Shows in New York. Need a list of Broadway Shows? Click here. We just updated it today.

Remember when you need tickets or want to know about places to eat before the show, you now have a place to call. If others have a need for Applause's expert advice we would greatly appreciate a recommendation. Our best business is done by "word of mouth". When people are happy with our service, there's no greater satisfaction for us.

Enjoy Wicked or the show of your choosing. As I said before, there's nothing like "live musical theater". Have fun at the show.

Rich Gladstone

Wicked is New York City's most Popular Show-Applause Theatre Service has Excellent Seats

Although I enjoy most of the Broadway Shows I get to see in New York City, after 34 years and attending a few hundred Broadway Shows, I can safely say that Wicked is a real "winner" of a show. Day after day this production sells tons of tickets. Not only that but people all over the world go back to see Wicked over and over again. I've seen it 4 times myself, each time a wonderfully warm and exciting experience.

Wicked tells the "prequel" story to The Wizard Of Oz, one of the most popular films ever made. In Wicked we get to see Glinda "the good and beautiful witch" and Elphaba, the scary looking yet not see "evil witch" and follow their relationship as they room together at "witch school". The show has lots of great music, a love interest, an extremely well written story and great acting, making Wicked a fantastic live experience as well as a really "fun time" at New York's Gershwin Theater. You, your family and friends will love this show my friends, Satisfaction guaranteed. from me to you.

If this sounds like a show you might want to see, you can simply call the local Broadway Ticket Experts at Applause Theatre Service in New York City. Their local number in New York City is 212-307-7050 or you can call toll free at 800-451-9930 seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Everyone at Applause Theatre Service is friendly and we look forward to hearing from you whether you have a question about a show or need some restaurant suggestions. And of course, Applause has the best seats for Wicked and just about any Broadway Show of your choosing.

Enjoy the theatre.
