See Jersey Boys At A City Near You

Now it's fourth year on Broadway is Jersey Boys. The 2006 Tony Award winner for Best Musical. Now for those of you who think you have to be a fan of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons to appreciate the show you don't. Although it certainly helps. Now going into seeing it for the first time I knew a couple of the songs but that was it. You see unlike most people I didn't see the show until two years into it's run. Yes I know it won tons of awards and was universally loved by almost everybody but I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. It just had so much hype that I thought I was going to be disappointed.

So there I sat in my seat in the last row of the Mezzanine which by the way is still a very good seat. For starters it is a very small theatre and because it is a two level set all the seats are great. No lie. Anyway the show began and I was hooked right away. Not only does it make you feel like you are at a Frankie Valli concert but the struggle these four young men went thru to achieve their dreams was both heartbreaking and inspirational. I loved it. Now for those of you who can't make it to New York to see the show have no fear. Jersey Boys is currently playing at different cities Nationwide thru the end of the year as well as London and Australia. Get your tickets to see Jersey Boys at a city near you. It is fantastic.

Jersey Boys The Musical Still Going Strong

Winner of four 2006 Tony Awards including Best Musical is Jersey Boys. The show which opened to rave reviews from critic's and audiences alike continues to pack them in eight times a week at the August Wilson Theatre. Unlike most people I had no desire to see the show when it first opened. Too much hype as far as I was concerned. In fact it wasn't until almost two years later when I gave in and went to the show. Well much to my surprise not only did I enjoy it but I would put it right up there with one of the best shows I have ever seen on Broadway. Jersey Boys Still Packing Them In Eight Times A Week

Never in a million years did I think that I was going to like Jersey Boys. Those of you who read my blogs know that I am not a big fan of jukebox musicals. So when I was first offered the chance to see the show in December 2005 I passed. Any show that has that much hype was bound to disappoint me. Cut to two years later and I was given the chance to see it again. Once again I hesitated but since it was Halloween and I didn't really have any other plans I figured I would give it a shot. After all if it was really bad I could always leave after the first act.

Well you will never believe what happened. Not only did I stay for the whole thing but that night I became a fan not only of the show but of the Four Seasons as well. What an amazing show. From the very beginning I was hooked. Great music. Great performances from top to bottom, and a story that was both inspirational and tragic at the same time. I was kicking myself for waiting so long to see it. Trust me. I will never make that mistake again. Now in it's 4th sell out year Jersey Boys continues to entertain people from all around the world. Broadway's Sure Fire Hit Is The Jersey Boys

Now in it's fourth record breaking year is the Jersey Boys. The 2006 Tony Award winner for Best Musical. Unlike most people I didn't get a chance to see the show until almost two years into it's run. At first it was because it was so hard to get a ticket. Then when I finally had the chance to see it I really wasn't sure if I wanted too. Yes I know the show was a big fat hit and everybody was calling looking for tickets. Didn't mean I was going to like it.

So there I sat in the last row of the Rear Mezzanine waiting for the show to begin. By the way the last row is still a good view no matter what you might have heard. So the show begins and I have to admit that from the very first song I was hooked. Now going into the show I knew at least the music would be good. It is Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons after all.

Anyway back to the show. What a fun night in the theatre. It's got great music. One of the most talented ensemble of actor's on Broadway and a story that will move and inspire you no matter who you are. That includes all you tough guys from Jersey who have been flocking to the show ever since it opened in 2005.

All in all you can't go wrong with Jersey Boys. It is a great show that I guarantee you will love. By the way good seats are available for most performances so don't delay. Get your tickets to see Jersey Boys on Broadway. It is a night that you will never forget.

Jersey Boys To Celebrate Anniversary

That's right folk's. Today marks the Jersey Boys fourth year on Broadway. I remember when the show was first announced back in early 2005 I wasn't too excited. Don't get me wrong. I like their music. I just wasn't sure how they were going to incorporate it into the show. Was it just going to be a concert or were they actually going to tell their story? It turns out I was worried for nothing. The show opened to rave reviews and became a massive it. Not only that but it won the 2006 Tony Award for Best Musical. Not too bad for a show that most people didn't think was going to be all that successful.

Two years into it's run I finally got a chance to see it. You see even thought it was a hit I was still a bit skeptical about whether I would like it or not. Once again I was proved wrong. I loved it. In fact I would put Jersey Boys up there with my favorite Broadway shows of all time. Now while the show was entertaining what really got me was the story.

Being a composer myself I know what it's like to have to work your ass off to get someone or anyone for that matter to hear your stuff. After seeing the show my struggles are nothing compared to what these four boys from New Jersey went thru to achieve their dreams. Enough about me. You can hear more about my show when it opens on Broadway in 2011.By the way that is wishful thinking on my part. Anyway back to the reason for my blog. Go see Jersey Boys. It is an amazing show that I know you will love if you just give it a chance. By the way you don't have to be a fan of their music or be from New Jersey to appreciate the show. Although it helps. Now Is The Best Time To See Jersey Boys On Broadway

Now in it's 4th record breaking year on Broadway is Jersey Boys. The show which tells the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons is still one of Broadways biggest hits. When it was first announced I really didn't expect it to be a big a hit as it has become. To be honest jukebox musicals aren't really my cup of tea. I've never seen Mamma Mia. I probably never will. Imagine my surprise when not only did I love Jersey Boys but it is one of my favorite Broadway shows of all time.Who would have thought that? I sure didn't. I guess the old saying is true."You can't judge a book by it's cover." Now if you haven't seen Jersey Boys yet I strongly suggest you do. By the way you don't have to be a fan of their music to appreciate the show. Sure it helps but it's not necessary. Get your tickets to see Jersey Boys on Broadway.You will have the time of your life.

Customer Story

That's right folks. It's time for my customer story of the day. Like last week's story this also involves my first call of the day. It was from a very nice gentleman who was planning a trip for him and his wife to come into the city in December to do some shopping and see a show. He asked me if I had seen Jersey Boys and I told him that not only is it one of my favorites but continues to be one of Broadway's top selling musicals. I asked when he wanted to go and he told me that he really only had one day available. I told him that I had two options for him and his wife.I could get him Premium seats in the first ten rows for $425 each or I could get him seats in the Rear Mezzanine for $130 each.

Now I know when most people hear the words "Rear Mezzanine" their first thought is, "I am not sitting in the nose bleed section." Now while the seats I offered him were near the back they are actually a full view. Believe it or not but the theatre is not very big. Only 1200 seats. When you compare that to other theatres it is very small. I put him further at ease by telling him that when I saw the show two years ago I was in the last row on the side and saw fine. Plus he would be three rows closer than where I sat. Needless to say he felt better about the seats and decided to purchase them. Another satisfied customer. Will you be next?

Now Is The Best Time To Get Tickets To Jersey Boys On Broadway

Now in it's 4th sold out year is Jersey Boys. The 2006 Tony Award winner for Best Musical. The show which has been breaking box office records since it first premiered on Broadway in November 2005 is now doing the same in London, Chicago, and every where in between. Those of you who aren't familiar with the show, and let's face it there are very few who don't,the show tells the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.

When it first opened it sounded interesting but I just never got around to seeing it until almost two years after it opened. It was sure worth the wait. By the way you don't have to be a fan of their music to enjoy the show. Although that certainly helps. The show which is about to begin it's fifth year on Broadway is still one of the most popular shows. I dare say it's only competition is Wicked and just like Jersey Boys it continues to sell out eight times a week at the Gershwin Theatre.

Just to let you know the August Wilson which houses Jersey Boys is one of the smallest theatres on Broadway. Only 1200 seats. Not only that but the Front Mezzanine overhangs very close to the stage. Now while most of the action takes place on the main stage there is a raised platform(Catwalk) which takes up most of the stage as well. Therefor all the seats are good. By the way I saw the show from the last row upstairs on the side and I saw fine. So if I can see it so can you. Now for those of you who need to sit in the first ten rows center we do have access to those seats. Sure they may be a little more than the seats in the back but if you want them we can get them for you. Call Applause now to get your tickets to see Jersey Boys on Broadway. The Boys From The Hood Make Good-Jersey Boys Is A Hit

Now in it's 4th sold out year is Jersey Boys. The show which tells the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons is still one of the most popular shows on Broadway. I saw the show about two years into the run and thought it was phenomenal. Going in I wasn't sure if I would like it but I did. It's funny I knew most of the songs but I had no idea how much this talented foursome really struggled to make it to the top. Being a writer myself I found the show very inspiring and if I could have half the success that they had I would consider myself very lucky. If you haven't seen the show I strongly suggest you check it out next time you visit our fair city. It is a winner. Don't forget. Oh What A New Night-See Jersey Boys On Broadway

The show which was not expected to be a hit when it first opened has been selling out nightly at the August Wilson Theatre since it opened to rave reviews in December 2005. When the show was first announced I didn't really think that it had a chance. After all most jukebox musicals don't usually last that long on Broadway. Mamma Mia being the exception of course. Even after all it's success I still avoided seeing the show until almost two years into the run. There was just so much hype behind it that I didn't think it could live up to my expectations. Boy was I wrong. I absolutely loved the show and if you haven't seen it yet I highly recommend you do. No worries though. Jersey Boys will be here for a very long time. Jersey Boy's-Broadway's Most Popular JukeBox Musical

It's funny but Jersey Boys had been running for almost two years before I finally saw it on Broadway. Now the reason I waited so long was not because I didn't want to see it but because I couldn't get a ticket. Being in the business I am in we often get tickets to see all the shows for free but I was out of town the week we got tickets to see Jersey Boys. Therefore I figured I had missed my chance after the show opened to rave reviews across the board.

Finally I got my opportunity to see the show but to be honest I did have my doubts. I avoided The Producers the entire time it was here because I truly believed that nothing could live up to that much hype and Jersey Boys seemed to have just as much if not more. In the end I figured that if I didn't like it I could always leave at intermission. I am so glad that I went. What an amazing night in the theatre. From the very beginning I felt like I was at a Frankie Valli concert. Growing up I knew of their music but never realized how much they had to struggle and the hardships they had to face in order to achieve their dreams. It really was inspiring and being a composer myself very enlightening.

One of the biggest surprises for me in the past few years was Jersey Boys. I had avoided seeing the show for almost two years because to be perfectly honest I didn't think any show could live up to that much hype. After all these so called "Jukebox Musicals" haven't been all that successful over the years. Mamma Mia being the exception. When most people hear that names Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons they of course think about all the great music that they shared with the world. But they are so much more than a few catchy tunes. The struggles that these four men had to go through to make it to the top was unbelievable. Being a songwriter myself I know how hard it can be try and make it. Although if I had to endure some of the things they went through I don't know if I would have had the guts to keep going. Jersey Boys is a feel good musical that will inspire you and make you smile from ear to ear. "Oh what a night!"

How to get tickets for Broadway's 5 Sellout Shows

Most of the Broadway Shows playing these days are very successful. Still it takes an extremely popular Broadway Show to "sellout" every performance. The 5 most popular, "hard to get" tickets are for the following Broadway Shows. They are:

Go See Jersey Boys Today...You Will Be Happy You Did!

Jersey Boys, winner of 4 Tony Awards including best musical in 2006, has been playing to sold out audiences night after night at the August Wilson Theatre. Sixties sensations The Four Seasons come to life in a musical tale about guys from the 'hood who make good. The story of the legendary Four Seasons, blue-collar boys who formed a singing group and reached the heights of rock 'n' roll stardom. Oh what a night!…….it certainly was for me the first time I went to see it. Not being around in the 60’s and being not too familiar with the group the Four Seasons or their music I was not crazy about sitting through a story of their life. How wrong was I? The show was great. I even found myself singing along to some of the songs by the second act. I actually knew these songs..who knew? I also have a secret to share with you. I sat in the last row of the theatre and the view was great! Much of the action takes place on a raised proscenium, easy viewing from the last row of the mezzanine…who wants to hurt their head looking up in the orchestra. Jersey Boys tells the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, one of Rock & Roll's most popular bands ever. Being a New Jerseyan myself for over 20 years now and knowing that our state has produced many popular music groups like Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes and of course Bon Jovi-I must tell you that Jersey Boys has an intense ability to please all of their live audiences.

Jersey Boys comes with a very interesting story, which is told by each band member in a narration style that allows us to really get a chance to learn exactly how musicians work with all their "passion" to "make it" in a really difficult business. The Four Seasons had many obstacles to climb. Still they managed to keep their desire and passion high while working hard to seek out the best talent, song writing creativeness, work with a top music producer and maybe most importantly-find that "special sound". A sound that Frankie Valli himself often said was "our own special sound". The bands special sound and Frankie Valli's unique singing vocal style was a "high pitched yet sweet voice that I believe helped them sell over 100 million albums.

You'll get to hear some of my personal favorite songs of the 60's and 70's. Songs like "Sherry", "Rag Doll", "Let's Hang On", "My Eyes Adore You" and one of my all-time favorites, "Fallen Angel". All the music is excellent and the actors are extremely talented. I can see it playing on Broadway for many years to come.
