Jersey Boys Still Packing Them In Eight Times A Week
Never in a million years did I think that I was going to like Jersey Boys. Those of you who read my blogs know that I am not a big fan of jukebox musicals. So when I was first offered the chance to see the show in December 2005 I passed. Any show that has that much hype was bound to disappoint me. Cut to two years later and I was given the chance to see it again. Once again I hesitated but since it was Halloween and I didn't really have any other plans I figured I would give it a shot. After all if it was really bad I could always leave after the first act.Well you will never believe what happened. Not only did I stay for the whole thing but that night I became a fan not only of the show but of the Four Seasons as well. What an amazing show. From the very beginning I was hooked. Great music. Great performances from top to bottom, and a story that was both inspirational and tragic at the same time. I was kicking myself for waiting so long to see it. Trust me. I will never make that mistake again. Now in it's 4th sell out year Jersey Boys continues to entertain people from all around the world. It is a must see. Get your tickets today.

33 Broadway Shows- A Theater Lover's Delight
Being a ticket agent for Broadway, I like to check out how much money each show takes in every week. Here are some noteworthy items if you have a similar interest or if you're thinking about attending one of the Broadway Shows.A Steady Rain with Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig is stilling doing 101 % occupancy and is only playing through December 6, 2009 in a strictly limited engagement. The only other sell out show was Jersey Boys.
God of Carnage dropped from 102.2 % occupancy to only 62.5 % last week as the new cast with Jimmy Smits, Annie Potts and Christine Lahti took over in this very funny Best Play of 2009. I think word of mouth will help the new cast sell tickets for sure.
Near sell out shows included Billy Elliot, Wicked, Hamlet (with Jude Law closes December 6, 2009), Bye Bye Birdie and Fela! Ragtime, Rock of Ages, Race, Memphis, Wishful Drinking and The Lion King are all holding their own doing solid business between 80-90 %.
Even though this has been a very tough year for all kinds of ticket sales, especially rock concerts and sporting events, I think that Broadway's 33 shows says an awful lot for the Broadway producers. They always have faith in the consumer and have done a great job in signing star names when casting many shows as well as offer discounted seats for performances that they know most likely will not sell out all their tickets.
Consumers have been looking for bargains this year and Broadway tickets are no exception. It's no secret that ticket prices are higher than ever but if you know how to wait for discounted tickets of admission, you sure can save lots of money.
I'll give you a very good example. As I mentioned earlier, only a few shows sold out last week and one of them is a short term show. This should tell you that the shows need to start to develop a long range plan to sell more tickets and put more money in their advance sales bank account right? Right after most of the tourists go home at year end in a few weeks, the shows will need to be more aggressive with their discount options.
With this in mind, you might want to consider signing up for Broadway discount alerts from one of New York's licensed ticket agencies, Applause Theater Service. These guys really do know how to get new customers and how to keep them for the long term.
For instance, consider checking out their BFV ticket deals. These deals are Applause's way of sharing all the insider discounts they find out about directly from the horses mouth-the show producers themselves.
Applause Ticket Agency has been around forever it seems. Over 22 years anyway so far. They are licensed by NY State (license #71AP1001029) and love talking about tickets and Broadway theater.
If you love Broadway Theater too, what are you waiting for. Ask to be placed on their mailing list if you like. This way you'll be sent the best offerings on Broadway as soon as they come out.
That's all for now. I sincerely hope you find this information helpful and interesting.
Sincerely,
Rich Gladstone

How to Buy Last Minute Jersey Boys tickets in New York City
I just got off the phone with Karen from upstate New York. Karen has been searching the Internet for hours today trying to obtain tickets for Jersey Boys at the August Wilson Theater for this Saturday November 21, 2009. The 2pm performance.Apparently she found seats that she liked from one of the dozens of web sites around except the ticket prices were over $200.00 each in the front mezzanine. When she asked me what I thought about the company she was going to buy from, I said I have heard of them. However before filling out her credit card and personal information on their shopping cart page form, I suggested that she make sure there were no "extra fees" for securing the seats. Unfortunately, until you give up your personal information and credit number, Karen really wouldn't know the final price to pay. This made her feel uncomfortable as often ticket company web sites display a "loss leader" price then tack on allot of fees. Especially for a hard to get show like Jersey Boys in New York.
I decided to do some research for Karen as our company Applause Ticket Agency in New York City is always looking to make a new customer whenever we can. As luck would have it, I simply made a call and within a few minutes was able to get the 5 tickets my new customer wanted. And in the first and second rows of the front mezzanine center section. These seats are often sold as premium seats commanding over $300 a piece. Instead I was able to purchase them for less than half that, add on a small service charge and sell them to Karen for the $175.00 she originally had in her budget to pay.
Jersey Boys may indeed be one of the hottest and most popular shows ever to play on Broadway. Still most folks don't want to fork over $200 to $300 a ticket. Why should people overpay for the experience of seeing a Broadway Show?
I'm a sales person but I'm also a consumer. I think it is about time that consumers shop around and call company after company to find the best prices and service. Don't you?
There are a ton of ticket companies out there. The questions I would ask if I were a consumer in need of Broadway tickets is simple really.
1. Can I talk with a local ticket expert that will give me as much time and information needed to make a decision?
2. Will they disclose the "face value" printed on the ticket?
3. Will I receive an email confirmation for my purchase?
4. Was the cancellation policy explained?
These questions and anything else you feel you might need to ask of the ticket agency are all fair questions for sure. Just make sure you feel comfortable with the person you are about to buy tickets from.
And enjoy the live Broadway experience. I hope this information was helpful to you and others in your life.
Sincerely,
Rich Gladstone

Broadway's Sure Fire Hit Is The Jersey Boys
Now in it's fourth record breaking year is the Jersey Boys. The 2006 Tony Award winner for Best Musical. Unlike most people I didn't get a chance to see the show until almost two years into it's run. At first it was because it was so hard to get a ticket. Then when I finally had the chance to see it I really wasn't sure if I wanted too. Yes I know the show was a big fat hit and everybody was calling looking for tickets. Didn't mean I was going to like it.So there I sat in the last row of the Rear Mezzanine waiting for the show to begin. By the way the last row is still a good view no matter what you might have heard. So the show begins and I have to admit that from the very first song I was hooked. Now going into the show I knew at least the music would be good. It is Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons after all.
Anyway back to the show. What a fun night in the theatre. It's got great music. One of the most talented ensemble of actor's on Broadway and a story that will move and inspire you no matter who you are. That includes all you tough guys from Jersey who have been flocking to the show ever since it opened in 2005.
All in all you can't go wrong with Jersey Boys. It is a great show that I guarantee you will love. By the way good seats are available for most performances so don't delay. Get your tickets to see Jersey Boys on Broadway. It is a night that you will never forget.

Jersey Boys To Celebrate Anniversary
That's right folk's. Today marks the Jersey Boys fourth year on Broadway. I remember when the show was first announced back in early 2005 I wasn't too excited. Don't get me wrong. I like their music. I just wasn't sure how they were going to incorporate it into the show. Was it just going to be a concert or were they actually going to tell their story? It turns out I was worried for nothing. The show opened to rave reviews and became a massive it. Not only that but it won the 2006 Tony Award for Best Musical. Not too bad for a show that most people didn't think was going to be all that successful. Two years into it's run I finally got a chance to see it. You see even thought it was a hit I was still a bit skeptical about whether I would like it or not. Once again I was proved wrong. I loved it. In fact I would put Jersey Boys up there with my favorite Broadway shows of all time. Now while the show was entertaining what really got me was the story.
Being a composer myself I know what it's like to have to work your ass off to get someone or anyone for that matter to hear your stuff. After seeing the show my struggles are nothing compared to what these four boys from New Jersey went thru to achieve their dreams. Enough about me. You can hear more about my show when it opens on Broadway in 2011.By the way that is wishful thinking on my part. Anyway back to the reason for my blog. Go see Jersey Boys. It is an amazing show that I know you will love if you just give it a chance. By the way you don't have to be a fan of their music or be from New Jersey to appreciate the show. Although it helps. Until next time theatre fans.

Now Is The Best Time To See Jersey Boys On Broadway
Now in it's 4th record breaking year on Broadway is Jersey Boys. The show which tells the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons is still one of Broadways biggest hits. When it was first announced I really didn't expect it to be a big a hit as it has become. To be honest jukebox musicals aren't really my cup of tea. I've never seen Mamma Mia. I probably never will. Imagine my surprise when not only did I love Jersey Boys but it is one of my favorite Broadway shows of all time.Who would have thought that? I sure didn't. I guess the old saying is true."You can't judge a book by it's cover." Now if you haven't seen Jersey Boys yet I strongly suggest you do. By the way you don't have to be a fan of their music to appreciate the show. Sure it helps but it's not necessary. Broadway's Top Five Shows
Maybe its that I have been selling tickets for Broadway Shows for so long that I think I might know a thing or two about which shows are hot and which ones are not so hot (in terms of ticket sales of course). After over 32 years of being a licensed ticket agent for Broadway, I've seen hundreds of shows open and close. Many of them last only a few months.Still one thing that I always have witnessed is that there is always one and sometimes two "hit" shows with the dawning of each new Broadway season. This years most popular show is Billy Elliot, the winner of ten 2009 Tony Awards and one of the best shows I ever saw. In fact I have seen it three times.
In addition to the newest hit we always see that "last year's hit" show or two still seem to stay very popular. Although they lose a little steam to the newcomer show, they still sell allot of tickets. One such show that comes to mind is South Pacific, the 2008 Tony Award winner for Best Revival among several other top awards. South Pacific almost always sells out every performance but during off peak times of the year, usually has a few seats left at showtime.
The two shows that seem to have staying power and that still sell out just about every performance are Wicked and Jersey Boys. If you have not had a chance to catch a performance of these two shows, do yourself a favor and try to get some tickets whenever you have some free time. You'll be so glad you did.
The last in my "top five" of Broadway sellout shows is a new one. It's called A Steady Rain and stars Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig. It is a strictly limited engagement appearing through December 6, 2009 and just about all the tickets are sold out with a few weekday and weekend performances still available.
My name is Rich Gladstone and a own a company called Applause Ticket Agency (License #71AP1001029) in New York City. If you need some advice on how to obtain tickets for the shows I mentioned or anything on Broadway, it would be my pleasure to assist you. My contact information is below. Rich Gladstone

Customer Story-How to Buy Broadway Tickets at Prices You Want To Pay
Funny thing happens when people shop the Internet for Broadway Show Tickets. My guess is that consumers click on several web sites (most of which look and feel the same), they then see prices ranging from high to ridiculously expensive. Why do I say this you might ask?Its simple really. Many ticket companies want to charge the highest price they can, not really paying attention to the fact that consumers are looking for the best seat at the least amount they have to pay. Especially during these economic times.
Being a proud owner of one of New York State's few licensed and legitimate ticket agencies (NY State license #71AP1001029) for over 22 years now, I would put my reputation next to any other ticket service that specializes in obtaining Broadway tickets for the public. I guarantee that no other licensed ticket agency in New York State will offer service anywhere near that of our company, Applause Theatre Service. And just to show you that we listen to customers and shoppers that call Applause's service, let me share a customer story with you.
Today I received a call from Sharon from Andalusia, Alabama. She had been on line searching out seats and prices for Jersey Boys in New York City for early December. When I told Sharon exactly where she would be sitting in the orchestra, she said "that's great but she said "Rich, your prices are higher than I see on the Internet". The reason our prices are higher I explained are because we offer a very personal service, take our time with customers and offer "exact seat locations". Still Sharon seemed to value the service I was giving her but wanted to pay the lower competitor price. Being the 31 year sales veteran of Broadway Theater that I am, I simply asked "how much did my competitor quote you Sharon"? When she gave me the lower price and I told her which one of the competitors it was, I went further to ask if she'd "like me to match the price". She said "Rich, if you match the price and promise to give me the exact seats you offered me, I will give you the business. And send other folks to buy from you as well".
So I confirmed Sharon's order and am mailing the tickets today. Although I run a company that has a level of service that far "outshines" most others in the ticket business, I am happy to make a new customer today.
If you are tired of searching and searching for Broadway Show tickets, clicking from one web site to the next to the next, etc. maybe it's time you called on a local Broadway expert to help you with tickets. At Applause, its not about making quick sales and lots of profit. It's about people. Our people on staff and our customers. Sure anyone can say they have the best service. What I'm doing is simply putting my money where my mouth is.
If you want to experience the best service on Broadway, consider giving Applause Theater Service a call today. Ask for our PRICE MATCH GUARANTEE. And tell them the Ticket Man sent you. You'll be so glad you did.
Sincerely,
Rich Gladstone

Now Is The Best Time To Get Tickets To Jersey Boys On Broadway
Now in it's 4th sold out year is Jersey Boys. The 2006 Tony Award winner for Best Musical. The show which has been breaking box office records since it first premiered on Broadway in November 2005 is now doing the same in London, Chicago, and every where in between. Those of you who aren't familiar with the show, and let's face it there are very few who don't,the show tells the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. When it first opened it sounded interesting but I just never got around to seeing it until almost two years after it opened. It was sure worth the wait. By the way you don't have to be a fan of their music to enjoy the show. Although that certainly helps. The show which is about to begin it's fifth year on Broadway is still one of the most popular shows. I dare say it's only competition is Wicked and just like Jersey Boys it continues to sell out eight times a week at the Gershwin Theatre.
Just to let you know the August Wilson which houses Jersey Boys is one of the smallest theatres on Broadway. Only 1200 seats. Not only that but the Front Mezzanine overhangs very close to the stage. Now while most of the action takes place on the main stage there is a raised platform(Catwalk) which takes up most of the stage as well. Therefor all the seats are good. By the way I saw the show from the last row upstairs on the side and I saw fine. So if I can see it so can you. Now for those of you who need to sit in the first ten rows center we do have access to those seats. Sure they may be a little more than the seats in the back but if you want them we can get them for you. Call Applause now to get your tickets to see Jersey Boys on Broadway. You will have the time of your life. I sure did.

Don't tell me you still haven't seen Jersey Boy's yet. Well what are you waiting for people? It's only one of the most popular shows running on Broadway today. Not only that but it is probably the best Jukebox musical of all time. Yes I know all the Mamma Mia fans will probably disagree with me but it's true. As most of you know the show tells the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons and their meteoric rise to stardom. Being a songwriter myself I found the show very inspiring and made me realize that anything is possible if you work hard enough. Jersey Boys is a winner and if you get the chance make sure you see it during your next trip to New York. Call Applause now to get your tickets to see Jersey Boys on Broadway. Jersey Boy's-Broadway's Most Popular JukeBox Musical
It's funny but Jersey Boys had been running for almost two years before I finally saw it on Broadway. Now the reason I waited so long was not because I didn't want to see it but because I couldn't get a ticket. Being in the business I am in we often get tickets to see all the shows for free but I was out of town the week we got tickets to see Jersey Boys. Therefore I figured I had missed my chance after the show opened to rave reviews across the board. Finally I got my opportunity to see the show but to be honest I did have my doubts. I avoided The Producers the entire time it was here because I truly believed that nothing could live up to that much hype and Jersey Boys seemed to have just as much if not more. In the end I figured that if I didn't like it I could always leave at intermission. I am so glad that I went. What an amazing night in the theatre. From the very beginning I felt like I was at a Frankie Valli concert. Growing up I knew of their music but never realized how much they had to struggle and the hardships they had to face in order to achieve their dreams. It really was inspiring and being a composer myself very enlightening.
Now while the show still tends to sell out every night that doesn't mean you can't get tickets. We here at Applause have tickets for every performance and not just Broadway either. We can get you tickets to see Jersey Boys in London or anywhere it plays Nationwide. Get your tickets to see Jersey Boys. Oh what a night indeed!"

Now is the Best Time to Catch the 2006 Best Musical Winner "Jersey Boys" on Broadway with Applause!
One of the most well-liked musicals to hit Broadway over the past few years is Jersey Boys. It is a superb show, and one that will entertain everybody. It is bright, happy and a large amount of fun. The music is fantastic - you could end up dancing in the aisles. Do what you can to get tickets at a great price with Applause so you do not miss out.I couldn't wait to see Jersey Boys when it first came out in 2006 because I knew I liked the music, which is superb, and knew a little about the area it is set in and a bit about the Four Seasons. Those boys were an engaging bunch to say the least. Their private likenesses are likely more clear to most than their differences, but how they came together against amazing odds to become a music sensation is a really rather incredible story.
You will be thrilled by the telling of the story, which is done through an effective mixture of both spoken word and song, and plenty of hilarious jokes. I nicknamed it "Soprano's the Musical"! Lots of F bombs thrown out in the show, so you may want to be careful if you're thinking about taking the youngins! You can pick up some engaging trivia about the group, for example which current Hollywood star basically introduced two key members of the group or how “Sherry,” the group’s first massive hit came into being, and which very superstar galvanized the song “Big Girls Don’t Cry.” Lots of their songs and other popular songs of the era are performed by a very talented cast.
People return to see this show over and over again! Right now during the week you can get in to see the show at an amazing price! Run to see it. And if you call now, some great deals are available with Applause Theatre Service! Tickets for this show and all Broadway shows(including London productions) can be purchased by calling a sales expert live at 800-451-9930. Jersey Boys on Broadway in the Summer of 2009
I got to see Jersey Boys with some complimentary tickets the producer gave my company when the show first started preview performances on October 4, 2005. I remember sitting in the first row center thinking if I were sitting any closer, they'd have to give me a part in the show. All kidding aside friends, I have seen lots of Broadway theater in my days selling tickets at Applause Theater Service but Jersey Boys is truly one of the greatest of all time. Why you might ask?The story is a simple one really. It tells the story of a small group of New Jersey friends who mostly get into trouble time after time with the local law enforcement officials. The story is told by each member of a popular 60's and 70's rock n' roll band by the name of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.
Jersey Boys was the winner of the 2006 Tony Award for Best Musical and has sold out mostly every Broadway performance it has played. Jersey Boys recently opened in Las Vegas as well, doing big business at the box office. I went to see it when I was last out in Las Vegas just to witness how they handle their production as I had heard many theatrical productions often make the show less running time out there. Maybe it was a few minutes shorter but mostly the Las Vegas production stayed true to the Broadway version. It was very entertaining as well.
Some of the top songs you'll know if you liked music of the 60's and 70's are "Can't Take My Eyes off of You", "Sherry", "Big Girls Don't Cry", "Fallen Angel". You'll feel like you are at a concert where 30 songs that you'll recall will be played in a concert format along with a very interesting narration by the members of the band. The show is directed by Des McAnuff who does an outstanding job making you feel like you are aware of everything going on around you every step of the way during the career of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.
Although the Jersey Boys production in New York City has been a tough ticket to get since it started playing, the shows advance sales seems to be slowing down a little (they all do). What this means is that obtaining tickets is becoming somewhat easier.
There are many ticket agencies that would lead you to believe that Jersey Boys tickets should cost you allot of money. But I would caution you to shop, take your time and simply compare seat locations and ticket prices. If you need some help, my staff at Applause Theater Service in New York City would be pleased to help you.
If your plans include seeing additional shows, check out our up-to-date Broadway Show listing and our Below Face Value listing of tickets to shows we can save you lots of money for.

Broadway Theater Experiences
I had a wonderful conversation with a new customer of ours, Todd from California the other day. Todd had a good look at the Applause Theater Service web site and already knew that he wanted to take his family to see three of the more popular Broadway Shows- Jersey Boys, God of Carnage and Billy Elliot. I set him up with the exact seat locations he wanted.Just as I was about to say goodbye to Todd, I asked him if there might be anything else I could do for him. He said he needed help getting TV Show Taping admission tickets for some of the more popular shows filmed in New York (his wife loves them). We often get that question from out-of-town clients so I simply double-checked with Google to make sure procuring TV Show tickets had accurate information I could give to Todd. Although, to me, I simply made a few clicks of my computer mouse, Todd was quite happy with the service. Here is the link.
He also wanted to know if there was a "special" place I liked for dinner as he is going to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary.
I suggested he take her to a place that my wife and I go when we celebrate special occasions. It's a very wonderful Italian restaurant in downtown New York City called Roc Restaurant. Roc is located at 190 Duane Street #A in the Tribeca section of the city. Their local phone number is 212-625-3333. The food and wine are a very special experience. If you think you might enjoy a visit to Roc, you can tell them Applause sent you as they know we tell all our friends and relatives to dine there as well.If you're planning a trip to see a Broadway Show, I hope you'll allow me or one of the expert Applause ticket agents to help assist you. Not only with tickets but possibly restaurant suggestions, shopping tips or anything else that you might need.
When people purchase tickets for events, they often need suggestions on what to do and where to go that surround the Broadway experience. Let us know how we can help.
Regards,Rich Gladstone

Celebrate The July 4, 2009 Holiday Week with Amazing Broadway Show offers from Applause
Many theatergoers these days know about Applause Theater Service's BFV Ticket Deals. For those of you that aren't familiar with BFV ticket deals, let me fill you in. BFV stands for our special company promotion whereby we obtain top priced orchestra
and front mezzanine seats for our customers at very special prices. BFV stands for Below Face Value. To make a long story short, Applause knows the "ins and outs" of Broadway Theater ticket business better than most longtime industry insiders. We happen to be aware that the first 2 weeks of July are not overly busy for Broadway Shows with the exception of the few "sellout shows" like Wicked, Jersey Boys, Billy Elliot, God of Carnage, West Side Story and The Lion King.
What this means is that there will still be at least a dozen or so other very excellent shows to see in New York City. Being that they most likely will not be able to sell out of all their inventory, Applause is able to purchase them for you at a very good discount off the regular face value (or printed price on the ticket). We then add on a small service fee for our efforts and personal service and are able to sell them to you at a price that is still BELOW FACE VALUE.
So if you don't plan on going to the beach during the first 2 weeks of July in 2009, maybe you'd like to consider calling Applause and inquiring about getting your BFV ticket deals for Broadway. Some of the popular BFV shows are:
9 to 5 The Musical
Avenue Q
Blithe Spirit
Rock of Ages
Shrek The Musical
In The Heights
Mamma Mia!
Mary Stuart
The Norman Conquests
Next to Normal
The 39 Steps
Waiting for Godot
Todd, Rich, Jay, Erik, Claudia and Carol are waiting for your call. Just think about the fantastic dinner you can have before the show with all the money we can save you when you purchase your theater tickets from Applause, the local Broadway ticket expert.
Sincerely,

"Jersey Boys" Still Going Strong on Broadway and London, the National Tour and now in Austrailia!
Still one of the top 3 sellers currently on Broadway, "Jersey Boys" is one of the best nights you'll have on the Great White Way! Absolutely one of my favorite all time shows. Also knocking em dead in London and on tour throughout the U.S., this show has become a phenomenon! If you haven't seen it, what the heck are you waiting for?The show’s appeal is that as much as it’s set in Jersey, it’s really not about Jersey at all!
It’s a story about four guys aspiring to more than what they had. It’s a story of brotherhood and friendship among guys who happened to be megastars. Of course, the Mafia thing is a big draw card for people who don’t see musicals, too. It is the sense of triumph that is at the heart of the show. It’s about 10 years of not making any money and then within three to four months having three No. 1 hits in a row. When you really go on that journey with these guys, it’s inspiring because that’s something we all want to achieve ourselves.
The upcoming Melbourne production of JERSEY BOYS opens at the Princess Theatre on July 4!
Between now and next year, JERSEY BOYS national tour will be playing all over the United States! Here’s the latest schedule update:
Atlanta, GA at the Fox Theatre, May 27-June 21, 2009
Raleigh, NC at the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts—Raleigh Memorial Auditorium, June 24-July 18, 2009
Boston, MA at the Citi Performing Arts Center Shubert Theatre, July 23-September 26, 2009

Washington, DC at the National Theatre, October 1-December 12, 2009
Detroit, MI at the Fisher Theatre, December 17, 2009 - January 23, 2010
Memphis, TN at the Orpheum Theatre, January 24-February 14, 2010
Charlotte, NC at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, March 31-April 18, 2010
Buffalo, NY at the Sheas Performing Arts Centre, April 21-May 9, 2010

Now Is The Best Time To Get Tickets To See Jersey Boys On Broadway
One of Broadway's most popular shows is Jersey Boys the 2006 Tony Award winner for Best Musical. When the show was first announced I will admit I was a little skeptical about it's future on Broadway. In fact excluding Mamma Mia the success rate for the "Jukebox Musical" has not been very strong. Therefore you can understand my hesitation when they announced that they were working on a show about Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. The rest of course is history. The show opened to rave reviews across the board and to this day is still one of the most popular shows on the Great White Way. Now I know what you're thinking. If Jersey Boys is as popular as I say it is then I'll never get a ticket right? Wrong. All you have to do is call Applause and we can get you seats for any date of your choice. It's that easy. So why not give us a try? You'll be glad you did.Want tickets to any show On or Off Broadway?

In the market for Broadway Theater Tickets? Don't pay more than you have to...read on please
I cannot believe the ridiculously high prices that I see when I search for Broadway Show tickets on line, can you?I've got a little secret for you current and future Broadway Show ticket buyers out there. The next time you are in the market for a ticket to one of Broadway's most popular shows like Wicked, Jersey Boys, Billy Elliot, South Pacific, West Side Story or Hair, or for that matter, just about every Broadway show playing in New York City right now-I need you to do yourself a favor please. Simply go on line and search for the Broadway Show or shows of your interest and shop for prices and seat locations. Then simply try to comparison shop from one company to the next. It's like buying a mattress, impossible to figure it all out I'm afraid.
I am actually one of the "old-time" legitimately New York State licensed theater ticket agents and officially represent every Broadway Show in town. Well dear theater friends, let me tell you that in all my 31 plus years of experience in Broadway ticket sales, I finally figured out why the public still doesn't know how to obtain the "best seats, best shows and best prices when making a theater ticket purchase. It's simple really, its all about confusion. You know the listing of seat numbers, fancy seating charts and often fictitious descriptions of where the seats are actually located.
There must be nearly a thousand companies listed on line (of course several of them simply have one site that they duplicate and triplicate and clone and re-clone and simply use different names. When I, myself do a search on line for theater tickets for Broadway Shows, almost all the sites have the same seats with similar pricing. Strange isn't it?
Here's the problem with buying tickets and while we are at it, maybe I can offer a solution as well. A simple call to a local Broadway expert like Applause Theater Service in New York City is all you need to get answers to your questions. No pressure to buy anything, no need to sign up for anything, just great "old-fashioned" personal service.
At Applause you will speak directly with a local New York City theater expert, someone who is licensed by the New York State Department of Licensing and who knows about all the shows and seating layouts. Someone who cares about the Broadway theater and their customers.
Just to show you that this blog post is trustworthy, maybe you want to "shop around" first. That's right, we're so confident that our service, seating and prices are first rate, that maybe you should do your homework, meaning call others in the business then kindly give us the opportunity to provide Applause's exceptional service.
If you can get "better seats at better prices" from any other legitimately licensed New York State ticket agency, I promise you as one of the founding partners of Applause nearly 22 years ago, that I will either match the price you were offered or send you a brand new crisp $10.00 bill for your trouble if we cannot. That's how confident I am in what Applause does for the theater-going public. More importantly, we will most likely have ticket prices for many shows that easily beat out others in the business. It's just the way we buy our seats really, kind of a secret but we pass on savings we get to you.
So remember please, I am guaranteeing you the best seats for the best shows at the best prices (or I'll match the price). Applause Theater Service will provide the best service, that we are 100 % sure of. If you think others can do better for you, we only ask you that you "show us how".
Here's a current and up-to-date Broadway Show listing. You are welcome to shop around. Remember Applause has a New York State license so any other comparison shopping price quote has to come from a New York State licensed ticket agency like ours please. So if another ticket agency can "beat our seats and pricing", we will either match the price or send you a $10.00 bill in the mail. I'll do it myself, I promise.
I am considered to be a modest person (although "chatty" I'm told). Of course we'd love for you to buy your tickets from Applause but we respect your right to "shop around".
One last thing theater lovers, I did guarantee that we "think we have the best Broadway ticket agency around". With this in mind, please let me leave you now with a "little New York City Insider's" tip. Checkout Restaurant Row, a great place with 16 restaurants all on one long New York City block (46th Street between Broadway and 8th Avenues). Sure to please even the most discriminating palate, I suggest you take my advice and have a look at their web site when you have a minute. The Applause family often dines out at many of these theater district restaurants before we, ourselves take in a Broadway Show.
We love the Broadway Theater and our jobs, really we do. We enjoy the folks that call us each and every day, whether they make a purchase or not. We're simply trying to bring what we think is the "right Broadway experience" to the theater-going public, that's all. If you simply give us the opportunity to help you find the right show at the right price and get you in the right seats of course, we know you'll be glad you called on Applause for sure.
I welcome the opportunity to hear from you and take care of your Broadway Show ticket needs personally if you'll allow me to. My colleagues Todd, Jay, Erik, Claudia, Carol, William and Billy look forward to hearing from you as well. We can be reached seven days a week at 212-307-7050 in our office in New York City or toll free at 800-451-9930 from 9am till 8pm most days.
Enjoy the Broadway Theater. For my money, there;s nothing like it folks.
Take care,
Rich Gladstone

Want to know how to obtain FRONT CENTER Broadway Theater Tickets-At Amazing Prices too?
It's simple really. The perception about getting "front and center" seats is that they need to cost the public an arm and a leg. Well I know the Broadway Show ticket business fairly well. I've been working in this business for over 31 years now and allot has changed. Let me explain.A few years back, the producers of a few shows started charging double and triple the price of a regular orchestra seat, but promised a seat in the first 10 rows center of the theater. It sort of made sense when you think about it because the investment when producing a show these days costs millions of dollars. And often times, those millions are lost when a show doesn't sell too well. It also helps to have these higher ticket prices offset the usual discounting that goes on in the ticket business when a show cannot sell out all their tickets. When you add constantly increasing prices every year or two, orchestra seating has gone from $100.00 a seat to over $130.00 for some shows, in just a couple of years. So when a legitimate ticket agency adds a small service charge, the retail prices people pay start getting pretty high indeed.
So one can piece together that the Broadway Shows plan is to sell "high priced", "regular priced" and "low priced" tickets. The low priced tickets are when a show really needs a helping hand and so they offer discounts. This blending of pricing ends up giving many show producers a fairly good "average price". Sort of like most businesses today that simply want to keep running and make a reasonable profit.
So how can you get FRONT and CENTER seats for Broadway Shows at reasonable prices? Here's a little tip for you. You can contact local experts to talk with and simply ask "how do I get choice seats for the show you want to see at the best possible price"? Now friends, if a show is really hard to get like Wicked, Jersey Boys, Hair, South Pacific, West Side Story or Billy Elliot, in general, if you ask for a front center orchestra seat you will be quoted prices upwards of a few hundred dollars a ticket and higher.
If you make a simple call to Applause Theater Service, a local Broadway ticket agency that is licensed by the Department of Licensing for New York State, you can find out how to obtain seats for the show of your choice, and at reasonable prices as well. One of the things that sometimes happens is that some of these so-called "premium" or "front and center" seats that usually do in fact sell for double and triple the usual cost, become available, and at the usual regular price, not the higher price. Make sense? It's simple really, the shows want people to pay a premium (higher price) but at some point they have to settle for accepting the regular (lower price). Otherwise the seat may go unsold. Since the producers ideally want to sell as many seats as possible of course, they understand that they, too, will have to accept a "blended" sort of pricing.
In the end, it reminds me of buying an air line ticket or staying in a hotel but getting a high price on one visit then a low price on another visit (probably because it is their off season).
So my advice to the public that is not only interested in obtaining front and center seats at a reasonable price, but wants to know how to get into Broadway theaters at discount prices as well (sometimes under the regular face value) is simple. Just contact Applause Theater Service in New York City, located right in the heart of the theater district.
At Applause Theater Service, there is never any pressure to buy tickets. Just good old-fashioned advice and exceptional service. If you make the call, you'll know what I mean. They can be reached at 212-307-7050 or toll free at 800-451-9930. Applause is open 7 days a week and love to talk about all the Broadway Shows.
And if you need some expert suggestions of places to dine before the show, we often recommend some of our favorite restaurants on Restaurant Row, located on 46th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues in the theater district. There are 16 unique palate pleasing places to grab a nice meal. We hope you'll have a look at the Restaurant Row web site. And if you want to talk about one of the places, just give Applause a call today.
Have fun planning your next visit to the Broadway theater.

Jersey Boys on Broadway is still one of Broadway's Best Shows of 2009
After winning the coveted Tony Award for the 2006 Best Musical, I am pleased to tell you that Jersey Boys is still one of the finest put together Broadway Shows I have ever seen in my lifetime. Songs like "Sherry", "Big Girls Don't Cry", "Oh What A Night", "Walk Like A Man" and many others will bring back memories of your childhood perhaps as well as tap into a new feeling of what life could have been like for four regular guys from New Jersey back in the 1960's. Although I was a teenager growing up to the sounds of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons music, I can tell you "firsthand" that my own son Adam (who is a drummer and musician himself) loves this music very much. You see, a musician looks to find their niche or as Frankie Valli himself said in the Jersey Boys Show-they wanted to find ""our sound", that special sound that millions of music lovers for decades now have come to love.
Jersey Boys The Broadway musical is based on Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons in which we get to witness the interwoven lives of four "blue collar"friends from the wrong side of the tracks so to speak who overcame the ordinary path they were on, worked hard and became one of America's most popular bands ever. They were famous for writing their own songs. In fact Bob Gaudio, the head song writer of the group is responsible for making sure the story transferred so well to Broadway. They sold over 175 million records before the age of thirty. Not too shabby right?
Jersey Boys is 2 hours and 30 minutes long and plays at the August Wilson Theater seven days a week. The cast playing right now include Jarrod Spector as Frankie Valli, Dominick Nolfi as Tommy DeVito (my favorite character in the show), Andrew Rannells as Bob Gaudio and Matt Bogart as Nick Massi. Matt has the most Broadway acting experience playing in Miss Saigon, Smokey Joe's Cafe and Aida. The supporting cast, many who play Broadway regularly are a talented group and make the show shine.
The shows original creators are Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, who wrote the Book with Music and Lyrics by Bob Gaudio (one of the original Four Seasons) and Bob Crewe (one of their original producers) that was able to get their music on the radio. Des McAnuff directs this show beautifully (he is currently directing) Guys and Dolls on Broadway as well. Choreography is by Sergio Trujillo, who I noticed did the same for a new show in previews called Next To Normal (which I think may win the 2009 Best Musical Tony Award).
Although Jersey Boys has been playing to sold out audiences for a few years now, it looks like tickets for good seating and reasonable prices are finally here theater friends. If you think you might want to see Jersey Boys, think about giving Applause Theater Service a call to discuss seeing one of Broadway's top selling shows ever. No kidding, I can think of thousands of people we had the pleasure of serving over the past few years. We sold tons of tickets for Jersey Boys, many of them at the "top of the theater". Why would we do this? The show was so hard to get that people were willing to sit anywhere, and they were happy to sit up top. Most people don't know it, but New York theaters are pretty small, no seats are really too far away from the stage. I never had a complaint, not one. In any case, Applause can get you a great price in the top mezzanine seats and for a few bucks more, seeing as how this show is getting older-we can secure better seats in the orchestra or front mezzanine, much closer to the action taking place on stage.
If you think you might want to see Jersey Boys, you can contact Applause's friendly ticket experts right here in the theater district at 212-307-705o or toll free at 800-451-9930 seven days a week, all year long.
There's never any pressure to buy at Applause. A look at our web site, maybe a click on our video and you'll soon see, we are interested in helping Broadway customers have an amazing day or night on Broadway. It's not about making a sale at all. We feel we will always have our share of business. We want to help make memories and are interested in lifelong relationships, not a quick sale.
So if you like great personal service, maybe a restaurant suggestion or too (we love to eat) and know where all the great eating establishments are- check out TODD'S DINING SUGGESTIONS) if you like, let us hear from you today.
I can hear you now walking out of the theater, possibly looking at your loved one and saying "Oh What A Night", just like The Four Seasons did.
Enjoy Jersey Boys as well as other Broadway Shows you may want to see. And remember, if you want someone to talk to about Broadway Shows- no pressure friends, call us today.
Sincerely,Rich Gladstone

Applause Theater Service offers a Weekly Broadway Show Discount Update
We like to think of ourselves as the "local Broadway ticket expert". You know, a place where people can come to for advice on what Broadway Shows to see, where to sit in the theater, how much to pay for discount to premium seating and ask just about any question they might have when planning a day or night on Broadway. We often even suggest fun places to dine before the show your going to see. Could you ask for anything more? With dozens of places to call and web sites to look through when researching Broadway events, have you considered talking to "local" ticket providers in New York City? Most people click on a web site displaying Broadway Show logos and don't realize that most of the time they are looking at similar information from web site to web site. The problem with this is simple, everyone looks the same. I have a solution for you.
Every week, I write a blog with pertinent information on up-to-date discount pricing for every Broadway Show playing. Here's my very own personal expert advice on current show discounts. If you are thinking about obtaining tickets to a show not on this list like Wicked, Jersey Boys, Billy Elliot or The Lion King-these four shows are not offering discounts right now but we can give you advice on them as well. In time they will offer discount seats for sure, once they stop "selling out" most of their performances. For now, there are still over 20 shows below I suggest you see for less than their usual "selling price".
If you feel like talking about theater, we'd love to hear from you. You can simply call us Applause Theater Service locally in New York City seven days a week at 212-307-7050 or toll free at 1-800-451-9930. Wicked and Jersey Boys Tickets in New York City-Shows not to be missed

I've seen hundreds of Broadway Shows in the last 30 or so years. Two of my personal favorites happen to be two of the most popular, and highest selling shows in the history of Broadway.
Wicked and Jersey Boys. Sure there are nearly two dozen shows to see but when you sell as many tickets for Broadway as Applause Theater Service in New York does, the numbers tell the real story.
Both Wicked and Jersey Boys are original Broadway productions and have been selling out just about every show they've played for years running now. If you want to treat yourself and someone you care about to a very special day or night at the Broadway Theater, please let us hear from you.
Applause Theater Service is located in New York City. They can be reached toll free at 800-451-9930 or locally at 212-307-7050.
Should you want to check out a current roster of what is playing in New York City, you can click on our up-to-date Broadway listings page.
For my money, Wicked and Jersey Boys are certainly "two of the best" Broadway productions you will really enjoy.
Call the ticket experts at Applause Theater Service right here in New York City. They are open seven days a week to help you answer any question you may have about Broadway Theater.
Sincerely,
Rich Gladstone

Applause Theatre Service Stays Busy 24/7 and The Key is S-E-R-V-I-C-E

Does anyone care about service anymore?
It seems like everywhere you go these days, so many people are complaining about the
economy. I think its important to remember that we have had a pretty good "run" for over 10 years now on Broadway. So if there is a slight downward trend in visitors coming to New York City, should those of us in the ticket selling business in New York get nervous? Or should we just settle in that our new reality might be that consumers all over the world are feeling the "pinch". Will consumers stop consuming? Will people that love going to live entertainment events like Broadway, all of a sudden stop going to shows? Hardly unlikely my friends. People just need to find a source they can truly trust to provide great service and fair prices. Have you ever heard of Applause Theatre Service in New York City?
If your like me and are somewhat of a news junkie, you, too, will soon get tired of all the little soundbites on the news showing that retailers are heavily discounting their goods and services. It seems obvious to me that many of these merchants simply "jack up the price" of their goods then put up lots of gigantic SALE SIGNAGE that says things like 50 % off. Some even have the nerve to tell us they'll give 80 % off or how about the BUY ONE GET ONE FREE signs we see so much of lately at our local shopping malls? Does anyone really believe these are "real discounts"?
Let me jump to the chase regarding Broadway ticket prices in New York as I have been in this industry for over 30 years now. Broadway Shows simply do not know how to "price" their shows. For instance, why should a show that has a cast of 15 actors and a medium size orchestra price their seats the same as a show that has a cast of 40 and a very large orchestra? The overhead regarding these shows must be different so why does the smaller show charge the same prices as the larger show? In my mind its simply because Broadway Shows have established a baseline for what they need to average on each ticket sold to make a profit. Still many Broadway Shows that need a hand to fill up their theaters, use the same "mall type" discounts.
In my experience as a small business owner, I am for profit also but if a show has lower overhead than another one, why not pass on the savings to people that might want to buy tickets for the "smaller to produce" show? It just makes sense to me. The smaller show might even stay in business longer. Wouldn't that make sense to you?
Anyway my friends, our little company Applause has access to just about any seat for just about any Broadway Show these days. Applause Theatre Service's savvy knowledge of a Broadway Shows availability coupled with computer access directly to every major ticket source one could think of, are just a few reasons why our little ticket service holds up in "good times and in bad".
We treat people well, offer the best personal ticket selling service second to none in the country (in my expert opinion) and always follow-up to make sure our customers have had a good time. If you simply ask someone that uses our service how they are treated both before and after we provide our service, you will know what I'm speaking of.
It comes down to service. That's service with a capital S-E-R-V-I-C-E. Everywhere you go, you get lots of those "bargain" shoppers" like I mentioned earlier in my blog. We have many customers that like good ticket deals as well. If you are on a budget and are flexible where you can sit, you may want to check out our Broadway Insider's ticket deals. We usually offer some very good seating options and often can save consumers $40-55.00 off our usual retail prices. Yes we make somewhat less than a full price sale but we are sensitive to the needs of theatre-goers today. And many will not go to the theatre if quoted the "extremely high" prices of dozens of ticket companies that have sprung up throughout the country. These guys may have sprung up over the years but as I study my own small little business in this ever changing industry, I clearly see "price gouging" all over the place. This is due to the greed of many I'm sure. If prices would only be rolled back in the way in which we are watching the housing industry start to lower their prices, the Broadway Theatre probably wouldn't be chasing away "future theatre-goers" like they are doing now.
Ask some of your kids in their twenties and maybe a bit older if they would spend upwards of $150 to $400 for a ticket to a Broadway show and even though many have never been introduced to the magical experience of seeing live Broadway Theater, it seems to me that exorbitant prices will keep them from ever really embracing live Broadway theater. So our Applause Broadway ticket experts simply ask a few questions about where our customer might want to sit, offer different seating suggestions and prices along with our knowledge of each and every theatre in New York City. When we have given the customer all the pertinent information they will need and answer every question they have, we either make a sale or not. Either way Applause's ticket experts know that making a purchase for Broadway tickets is not always an easy one.
Whether we make a sale or not, we like to think the person that called us was given "excellent service". Does anyone ever really think consumers require this excellent service I just spoke of? Of course we all know they do but it seems like everybody that has a job to sell something puts much to much emphasis on "making a sale", not on the customer.
When I went to college and took all sorts of retail management classes, great emphasis was placed on the S-E-R-V-I-C-E aspect of selling, not necessarily making the sale. Applause Theatre Service answers lots of questions about lots of ticketing related things. Many times we simply don't wind up making a sale but suggest a restaurant or two. Either way we are in it for the S-E-R-V-I-C-E we provide to everyone that calls Applause Theatre Service in New York.
We feel if we can S-E-R-V-E well, the business will come as well in time. Consumers need to T-R-U-S-T. I love the Broadway ticket business but I don't like the way in which many in our business treat the very consumer prospects that call upon them to provide much needed guidance about Broadway, ticket prices and seating options.
So what I see is the possibility of a somewhat downward trend of people buying Broadway tickets from "high priced" ticket sellers. Although I am concerned in many ways just like the local shopping mall merchants I see with the big DISCOUNT SALE SIGNAGE on the news, at the end of the day, it seems like no one talks about providing great customer service anymore.
If your plans include the possibility of seeing a Broadway Show or two, we hope you'll be able to call on our team at Applause Theatre Service in New York City. There is never any pressure to buy, although we might ask you if you'd like to join our daily growing "mailing list". Simply put, you give us your name and address and every month we send you a little postcard to remind you of the great service you experienced the first time you contacted us.
You may not buy the first time. You may not even buy the second or third time but that's OK. People deserve to have their trust earned by anyone of us in sales, especially in Broadway ticket sales.
Our hope is that whenever you, a friend, a co-worker or relative is thinking abut Broadway Theatre, that you will let us hear from you. We often say we offer the theatre-going public "the best seats for the best shows at the best prices". It all adds up to the B-E-S-T B-R-O-A-D-W-A-Y T-I-C-K-E-T S-E-R-V-I-C-E you'll ever get. Applause Theatre Service that is.
Some of Broadway's most popular shows are Wicked, Jersey Boys, Billy Elliot, Shrek The Musical and over 20 others. See a show, Have some fun, Call Applause today.
Sincerely,
Rich Gladstone

Jersey Boys Set To Open In Toronto

The Canadian premiere of Jersey Boys will begin on the Toronto Centre for the Arts stage Aug. 21,2008.Des McAnuff (The Who's Tommy, Big River) directs and Sergio Trujillo choreographs the story of American pop group The Four Seasons — the highs, the lows and all in between.
Jersey Boys features music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe and a book by Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice. The production garnered four Tony Award wins: for stars John Lloyd Young and Christian Hoff, lighting designer Howell Binkley and for the top prize Best Musical.
There are currently five productions of Jersey Boys: New York, London, Chicago, Las Vegas and the North American tour. A sixth production will open in Melbourne, Australia, in March 2009.
Jersey Boys is one of my favorite shows of the past few years. If you are in the Toronto area I highly recommend seeing the show. And even if you can't make it to Toronto it is is still one of the most popular shows on Broadway.Give us a call.
