See Passing Strange Thru Applause Theatre Service

All week my colleagues have been raving about this show. So naturally I had to see what all the fuss was about. Normally we as a company don't usually agree when it comes to the shows that we see. Well now that I have seen it I can honestly say that is not the case anymore. I haven't had such an exhilarating evening in theatre like this in a long time. Sure I knew going in what to expect. I checked out the website, heard a couple of songs and thought it sounded like fun. At least unlike most new musicals on Broadway this was original. Not that I'm knocking the other shows I just think it's nice for a change to see something new and exciting. With a score that has some of the most tuneful, soulful rock songs, and witty, thought-provoking lyrics in recent memory, Passing Strange is a moving and hilarious tale of a young, black bohemian on a journey of escape and exploration. I loved it, and I hope you will too. You won't be disappointed. And if you call now Applause Theatre Service can get you the best seats at an incredible savings.

Get Tickets To Passing Strange Thru Applause Theatre Service

Passing Strange tells the story about a young man from California and his journey from L.A. to Amsterdam, Berlin, and beyond who is searching to find his identity. This exciting new musical which features blues, rock and roll, gospel, and pop music was a big hit earlier this year at the Public Theatre. Being a musical composer myself, I am so excited to see something new and innovative, plus getting the chance to hear the type of music that I love live on a Broadway stage. What could be better than that. Plus if you call now Applause Theatre Service can get you tickets at some incredible prices.

Give us a call at 1-800-451-9930 or 212-307-7050, or visit us on the web at http://www.applause-tickets.com/.

Broadway Opening Nights 2008 - Applause Theatre Service Has Amazing Tickets and Great Prices

The Applause staff had a moment or two in between an active phone room today at the office http://www.applause-tickets.com/ , and the subject turned to new shows that were coming to Broadway soon. We thought our friends and customers would like to know what was happening on Broadway in the months ahead. Now is about the time when new shows open on Broadway so they can try to compete for the much coveted Tony Awards that are given out to "outstanding performances" in the theatre in early June 2008.

So here goes.

The 39 Steps www.applause-tickets.com/39-steps.asp just opened on Broadway, a very funny Alfred Hitchcock style whodunit thriller, along with another new political comedy starring Nathan Lane in a show called November www.applause-tickets.com/november.asp , as well as Disney's fantastic new musical, The Little Mermaid www.applause-tickets.com/little-mermaid.asp , which opened last weekend. I saw The Little Mermaid twice and loved it both times.

In addition, you can see a very moving play called Come Back, Little Sheba (read my blog if you get a chance at www.applause-tickets.com/blog and simply scroll down to our January 10,2008 entry if you like. I am usually more excited about seeing musicals but love Kevin Anderson, one of my favorite actors as well as the entire cast of this great play. Come Back, Little Sheba opens on January 24,2008

The season will see these other great shows opening in time to possibly receive the Tony Awards. They are:

Sunday In The Park With George www.applause-tickets.com/sunday-in-the-park-with-george.asp -opening night is Feb 21,2008

Passing Strange www.applause-tickets.com/passing-strange.asp -opening night is Feb 28,2008

Cat On A Hot Tin Roof www.applause-tickets.com/cat-on-a-hot-tin-roof.asp - opening night is March 6, 2008

In The Heights www.applause-tickets.com/in-the-heights.asp -opening night is March 9, 2008

Gypsy www.applause-tickets.com/gypsy.asp opening night is March 27, 2008

South Pacific www.applause-tickets.com/south-pacific.asp opening night is April 3, 2008

A Catered Affair www.applause-tickets.com/catered-affair.asp opening night is April 17, 2008

Thurgood www.applause-tickets.com/thurgood.asp opening night is April 20. 2008

Top Girls www.applause-tickets.com/top-girls.asp opening night is May 7, 2008

Opening nights on Broadway in New York have always been exciting nights to remember throughout my 31 years in the Broadway ticket business. It used to be that we would wake up the morning after a show opened and get "the scoop" on what the New York critic's thought of the shows. Nowadays, with all the great blogs on the Internet and word of mouth, one can almost predict what the critic's are going to write before it is in print. It's kind of nice knowing that critic's opinions matter less these days, to me anyway. Our customers usually take our suggestions anyway so who needs a critic?

Stay tuned friends as there are often last minute additions to my list. There are always new shows that will want to open prior to the Tony Awards deadline, trust me.

Oh, I almost forgot. If you, your friends, family or people where you work want to see any of the shows I mentioned or shows that we sell www.applause-tickets.com/broadway/asp (we sell every one of them of course), feel free to give us a call 7 days a week right here in New York City at 212-307-7050 or 1-800-451-9930, 7 days a week. Applause provides a very personal level of service. The friendly staff offers the very best choices in seating at all the shows, from Premium (first 10 rows center usually), to Best Available, usually very well positioned orchestra or front mezzanine seating or for those that are on a tighter budget, we can provide the top level of the theatre seating at much lower prices. These seats are full view of course.

Applause's motto is that they are real people you can trust helping you get "the best seats for the best shows at the best prices". These words are so true, they are people you can trust. They know how difficult some shows are to obtain good seats for and which ones are available at a much lower price (their insider priced shows). You can have a peak at them at www.applause-tickets.com/insider-rices.asp .

We hope to hear from you soon.
