LONDON - MUSICAL
Long running musical adaptation of Victor Hugo's great humanitarian novel of one man's determined survival in the face of another's vengeful persecution. The dramatic score includes numbers such as "On My Own", "One More Day", and "Do You Hear the People Sing". Directed by Trevor Nunn and John Caird, produced by Cameron Mackintosh. The relentless policeman Javert pursues escaped convict Jean Valjean over decades through the tumult of revolutionary France. Valjean becomes a mayor, agrees to raise the daughter of dying prostitute and joins the fight for freedom. None of this impresses the single-minded Javert, until the day Valjean saves his life. Based on Victor Hugo's epic novel. |

Can you believe it's been almost thirty years since Les Miserables opened in London? Not only that, but it is still one of it's most popular shows. I guess that's why it's been open so long. I realize by now most people have already seen it. Probably several times in fact. Why not see it again? I mean if you're going to be in London anyway, you couldn't pick a better show than this one. It is fantastic. Now for those of you who still haven't seen the show, and would like a little more information about it, you have come to the right place. Here is a brief synopsis of Les Miserables for you to peruse. Enjoy!
